How it works

How nearCare works

A nearCare visit takes about thirty minutes at home. Here is what happens from booking to results.

  1. 1

    Book

Use the patient app or book on the web. Choose the visit type, the address and a time window. You can book for yourself or for a parent or relative.

  2. 2

    Pay

Pay by card, bank transfer or USSD. nearCare holds the money and pays the nurse only after the visit is complete.

  3. 3

    A nurse is assigned

We assign a verified nurse who works in your area. You see their name and photo once they accept, and you can follow them on the way.

  4. 4

    The home visit

The nurse checks your blood pressure and, when included, your blood sugar, asks about your medicines and how you feel, and records everything.

  5. 5

    Your results

You see the readings in the app straight away, together with your earlier visits.

  6. 6

    Follow-up when needed

If a reading is outside the healthy range, nearCare refers you to a partner clinic within 24 hours and tells you where to go.

When a reading is very high

If a reading needs urgent attention, the nurse arranges an emergency referral the same day and nearCare's team is alerted at once.

Booking for a parent or relative

Add them to your account with their NIN. At the first visit the nurse confirms who they are and asks for their consent.
